You will act as a trusted advisor in your territory, helping customers translate data, products, and services into actionable strategies that improve productivity and profitability. The role blends hands-on field engagement with strategic market development, influencing both immediate sales outcomes and long-term demand creation. You will collaborate closely with sales teams and product managers to shape offerings and strengthen market positioning. This is a highly dynamic, customer-centric role requiring strong scientific knowledge and commercial awareness.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary agronomic expert for seed, crop protection (CPP), and foliar nutrition products, supporting the adoption of integrated “whole acre” solutions.
  • Conduct customer-facing training sessions, agronomic education programs, and product demonstrations for retail sellers and growers.
  • Partner with Sales Development Managers to support targeted sales activities, customer visits, and technical presentations.
  • Lead execution of innovation trials, answer plots, and on-farm demonstrations to generate insights and validate product performance.
  • Enable demand creation by identifying new market opportunities and connecting products, data, and services into differentiated solutions.
  • Provide feedback to product managers to influence product pipeline development and refine local market positioning.
  • Support internal training initiatives and share agronomic insights with sales teams to strengthen overall commercial effectiveness.
  • Facilitate virtual and digital agronomy services to expand reach and customer engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with retailers, growers, and internal stakeholders to support account planning strategies.
Requirements

Candidates should bring strong agronomic expertise, field experience, and the ability to influence stakeholders through technical credibility and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent extensive agronomy experience (advanced degree preferred).
  • Strong background in agronomy, crop production systems, seed, and crop protection products.
  • Proven experience coaching, training, and influencing growers, retailers, or agricultural sales teams.
  • Ability to translate technical data into practical, value-driven agronomic recommendations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage internal teams and external customers effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, field-based environments requiring travel and independent decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory (Jonesborough, AR / Memphis, TN region).
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $107,680 to $161,520, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Target annual bonus opportunity of approximately $40,000 based on performance.
  • Sales-based compensation structure with base salary plus incentive potential.
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement savings plan (401k) and financial wellness resources.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and well-being support programs.
  • Education assistance and professional development opportunities.
  • Life and disability insurance coverage.
  • Employee assistance and wellness programs.
