Job Description

Strategic ABA Practice Partner

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic ABA Practice Partner based in United States.

This is a strategic, provider-facing role focused on helping ABA practice owners build, operate, and scale sustainable, high-quality practices.
You will act as a trusted advisor and hands-on operator, combining healthcare operations expertise with strong business and financial judgment.
The role spans practice performance, growth strategy, operational excellence, staffing, utilization, retention, reimbursement, and financial health.
You will work closely with practice owners to understand their goals, identify opportunities, and translate insights into actionable plans.
The position also supports new practice launches and helps providers navigate the operational challenges that emerge as their businesses grow.
Working cross-functionally with RCM, credentialing, product, operations, and leadership teams, you will help solve complex problems and improve the provider experience.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in behavioral healthcare while helping shape scalable operating practices in a rapidly growing environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Build trusted relationships with ABA practice owners, develop a deep understanding of their goals and challenges, and serve as a strategic thought partner on operational, financial, and growth decisions.
  • Analyze practice performance and identify opportunities to improve patient volume, provider utilization, staffing, retention, revenue, profitability, and overall practice health.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, prepare business reviews and performance presentations, and translate operational and financial data into clear recommendations and action plans.
  • Support new practice and market launches by coordinating initiatives, anticipating roadblocks, and helping providers establish strong operational foundations from day one.
  • Continue partnering with providers throughout the full lifecycle of their practices, helping them navigate scaling challenges and evolving operational needs.
  • Identify recurring operational challenges and work cross-functionally to improve workflows, processes, tools, systems, SLAs, KPIs, and accountability structures.
  • Collaborate with RCM, credentialing, product, operations, and leadership teams to address provider needs, prioritize issues, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between provider partners and internal teams, ensuring provider feedback and operational insights inform strategic initiatives and improvements.
  • Help develop provider-facing resources, training, documentation, and self-service tools that make the overall provider experience more proactive, scalable, and effective.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen the operating model and continuously improve how practices are supported at scale.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in ABA or behavioral health, with significant experience leading, operating, or scaling an ABA practice or multiple practices.
  • Strong understanding of ABA practice operations, including clinical operations, staffing, utilization, scheduling, patient growth, retention, compliance, revenue cycle management, payer relationships, and reimbursement.
  • Experience working across multiple locations or states is strongly preferred, along with direct experience partnering with BCBAs, clinical leaders, practice owners, or healthcare providers.
  • Strong understanding of how clinical quality, provider capacity, operational performance, and financial outcomes influence one another.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen, including the ability to analyze financial statements, budgets, revenue, expenses, staffing costs, utilization, margins, payer mix, and other key performance drivers.
  • Experience owning or contributing to a P&L, budget, or financial performance for a practice or region is preferred.
  • Proven ability to identify root causes, develop practical solutions, improve workflows and processes, establish accountability structures, and optimize staffing and workforce strategies.
  • Experience defining and managing KPIs and performance targets such as growth, retention, utilization, patient access, provider productivity, and NPS.
  • Experience supporting new practice or market launches and balancing immediate execution with longer-term strategic priorities.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, develop actionable roadmaps, and create structure where established playbooks do not exist.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust with practice owners and explain complex operational or financial concepts clearly.
  • Strong ownership, resourcefulness, collaboration, and resilience, with a willingness to work hands-on and influence without relying on formal authority.
  • Genuine interest in improving healthcare and helping small business owners build successful, sustainable ABA practices.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Paid time off.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Meaningful opportunity to contribute to the growth and transformation of behavioral healthcare.
  • Direct collaboration with ABA practice owners and leadership on initiatives that shape the provider experience.
  • Opportunity to combine strategic advisory work with hands-on operational impact in a rapidly scaling environment.
