Job Description

Description:

The Development Coordinator supports North Hills Community Outreach (NHCO) by assisting with day-to-day fundraising operations, event logistics, grant and prospect support, and other administrative functions. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate donor records, engaging donors, and supporting events and campaigns that sustain NHCO’s programs and services.

Essential Duties

  • Manage and update the Bloomerang CRM/donor database ensuring accurate constituent information, maintaining the donor journey workflow and providing reports and data to assist with donor cultivation.
  • Manage and update Bloomerang Fundraising platform including General Donation Forms, Event Forms, Peer-to-Peer functions and Auctions, including fundraising communications, operations and tracking.
  • Assist in planning, executing, and tracking fundraising campaigns, such as Critical Needs Day, Giving Tuesday, and annual appeals.
  • Coordinate fundraising events including managing registration, logistics, tracking sponsorship agreements, volunteer coordination and contributions.
  • Manage the Jump for the Hills fundraising collaboration including planning with the school liaison(s), purchasing of prizes, coordinating participant envelopes and shipping of items, tracking of peer-to-peer donations and overall record-keeping.
  • Serve as the liaison to external fundraisers to align promotional efforts with NHCO’s priorities.
  • Draft corporate partnership proposals, impact letters and other donor stewardship materials.
  • Assist with grant proposals, funder research, funder communications and report generation.
  • Provide administrative support including answering donor inquires, coordinating funder meetings and preparing metrics & reports for leadership
  • Contribute to donor development, stewardship, and retention efforts conducting preliminary prospect research on local businesses, mid-level donors, event sponsors and corporate partners.
  • Represent NHCO at external events, fundraisers, and public speaking engagements as needed.

Secondary Duties

  • Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator on the maintenance of the Communications Calendar for fundraisers and appeals.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator for direct-mail of appeals.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and organizational training opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Development and Communications team and organizational goals.
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, attention to detail and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM and Fundraising Software; Experience with Bloomerang CRM highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with public engagement, event coordination, and representing NHCO externally.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Commitment to providing a positive experience for donors, volunteers, partners, and community members.

Experience/ Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years of directly related experience in development or fundraising (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Required to submit Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, and Mandatory Reporter Training.

Working Conditions/ Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

  1. Work performed primarily in an office environment and occasional off-site events; frequent interaction with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
  2. Physical activity may include lifting, setting up, and moving materials for events and programs (up to 40 lbs.).
  3. Local travel by employee-provided automobile is required, with mileage reimbursed.
  4. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending, stooping, reaching
  5. Eye-hand coordination required to record, prepare, and communicate information, and operate office equipment and computers.
  6. 40 hours weekly schedule with occasional evenings and weekends required, NHCO core office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Benefits:

This position includes a competitive benefits package including a 401K with 2% employer match and 3% employer contribution, 20 PTO days annually, 14 paid holidays including your birthday, medical, dental and vision insurance for the employee for $91 per month, and an employee funded Flexible Savings Account for medical, dental and vision expenses.
