Repair Coordinator - Industrial Pumps & Rotating Equipment in Greensboro, North Carolina at Tencarva Machinery Company

This role manages industrial equipment repair jobs from initial intake through quoting, parts procurement, repair execution, documentation, and final invoicing. You'll work closely with mechanics to translate teardown findings into repair scopes, bills of material, and customer quotes, while coordinating with Sales, vendors, and the shop to keep jobs organized and moving.

The position is heavily computer-based and requires strong organization and follow-through, but it isn't a traditional desk job. You'll spend regular time in our OEM-authorized repair shop working with mechanics, reviewing equipment and repair requirements, and making sure the shop has the information, parts, and materials needed to complete the work.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Check in equipment and prepare documentation for teardown and inspection (DCI)
• Review teardown findings and work with shop personnel to define repair scope
• Identify required parts, labor, machining, and outside services for each repair
• Build bills of material and prepare repair quotes with clear scope and pricing
• Work with sales to finalize and send quotes to customers
• Order parts and coordinate with vendors to support ongoing repairs
• Track job progress and help maintain shop schedule and workflow
• Ensure parts and materials are available to meet repair timelines
• Handle repair documentation, records, and equipment history in the ERP system
• Support communication between shop, sales, and vendors
• Close out repair orders and ensure accurate invoicing

What We're Looking For

• Experience coordinating service/repair work, work orders, projects, or customer jobs within an industrial, mechanical, skilled-trade, automotive, heavy equipment, construction, or similar environment
• Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple active jobs at different stages
• Comfortable working extensively within ERP, work-order, service-management, or similar business systems
• Mechanical aptitude and enough technical understanding to communicate effectively with mechanics and understand repair requirements
• Experience with quoting, purchasing, parts sourcing, order management, and/or vendor coordination
• Ability to read and work from parts breakdowns, equipment manuals, bills of material, and basic mechanical drawings
• Comfortable working directly with mechanics and spending time in an active repair/shop environment
• Clear, practical communication with Sales, mechanics, vendors, and other internal teams
• Experience with pumps, rotating equipment, industrial process equipment, or an OEM-authorized repair environment is helpful but not required

Relevant Experience

• Experience in service/repair coordination, inside sales, and/or order management
• Familiarity with purchasing, quoting, or parts sourcing
• Experience in industrial, mechanical, or skilled trade environments preferred
• Exposure to pumps, rotating equipment, industrial fluid process systems, etc. is a huge plus
• Background working with technicians, mechanics, or shop environments is highly valuable
