Standard Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Position Summary:
The Civil Sitework Superintendent provides overall leadership and coordination of Geotex field operations, with responsibility for field leaders, crews, project execution, workforce development, equipment and resource planning, productivity, and safety. This position works closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Estimating to ensure projects are properly staffed, scheduled, and executed according to project plans, budgets, quality standards, and company expectations. The General Superintendent serves as a key link between field operations and management, developing field leadership while driving consistent performance across Geotex projects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage field leaders per the requirements of the projects. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of foreman and their crews.
- Follow and promote all guidelines, policies and procedures established by Geotex.
- Interview, hire, assess and train employees. Implement and oversee company training for field personnel.
- Coordinate construction projects with Project Managers and Operation Manager to prepare daily, weekly and three-week construction activities plan.
- Direct field employees according to the daily plan.
- Ensure that all required materials and resources are ordered and available in accordance with the detailed activities plan.
- Communicate to Estimating and PM teams of opportunities or issues in regards to production, technology, budgets and etc.
- Ensure that Labor and Equipment hours are correct and correctly coded.
- Direct subcontractors as required.
- Review cost vs. budget & productivity with Project Manager and coordinate extra work
- Uphold high customer service standards through personal leadership and managed employees.
- Participate in client meetings and management meetings.
- Prepare job schedules for look ahead meetings.
- Maintain job file(s) with correspondence & photographs.
- Make sure all needed inspections are set up
- Oversee logistics coordinator and ensure proper equipment is where it needs to be
- Manage field personnel reviews, wages and disciplinary/ reward systems for individuals.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in a Field Superintendent role
- Background of technical skills and understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprints
- Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with staff, vendors, and clients.
- 10+ years of prior site work experience • Construction Software experience or exposure preferred
- Exceptional time management and customer relation skills
- Knowledge of terminology within the work area
- Ability to understand and communicate oral and written instructions
- OSHA 30 Hour
- Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace
- Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer skills (folders, email, word/excel, web)
- Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Current/Valid driving record
- Must be 18 or older
Preferred
- Experience with construction management or field-management software.
- Experience using HCSS Heavy Job or similar construction productivity/job-costing software.
- Broad experience with heavy civil, excavation, underground utilities, grading, and site development operations.

Compensation: $90,000.00-$125,000.00, based on experience and qualifications as well as 4 weeks of vacation and a sign-on bonus
