Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Director of Maintenance to build our Part 135 aviation team at Executive Express Aviation, dba Aleutian Airways Express. This role supports safe, efficient, and high-quality aircraft maintenance for our charter and scheduled operations.

Qualifications:
• Must hold an FAA Mechanics Certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings. Inspection Authorization is highly preferred.
• Have 1 year experience in a position responsibility for returning airplanes to service.
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity under either 119.71(e)(1), 119.71(e)(2) maintaining the same category and class of airplane as the Operator uses.
• 3 years of experience within the past 6 years in 119.71(e)(1), 119.71(e)(2) or a combination of both.
• Experience maintaining Beechcraft 1900s and Pilatus PC-12s is highly preferred.
                
Duties and Responsibilities:
These shall include, but are not limited to the following;
• Discharging duties to meet applicable legal requirements and to maintain safe operations and performing their duties and responsibilities with a high degree of safety.
• Managing the Maintenance Department to ensure aircraft operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Managing the staff responsible for maintaining, and repairing Company aircraft, and related Maintenance programs.
• Ensuring competent personnel, adequate facilities and equipment, and spare parts supplies and material.
• Ensuring the planning and allocation of resources necessary to manage safety and security risks to aircraft operations.
• Processing and maintaining accuracy of all maintenance program standards and specifications.
• Scheduling, performing and recording all maintenance, inspections and repairs of Company aircraft.
• Ensuring all maintenance, inspections, airworthiness directives and selected service bulletins are properly performed and recorded.
• Developing quality policies, procedures and training; implementing; and maintaining SMS processes and safety programs within the maintenance organization.
• Facilitating hazard identification and safety risk analysis.
• Monitoring the effectiveness of safety risk controls.
• Ensuring safety promotion throughout the Maintenance Organization.
• Recording training and conducting periodic audits of training records for Company maintenance personnel.
