Description:

Mack Industries is seeking an experienced Lead Dispatcher to oversee the scheduling and coordination of production and deliveries for our precast concrete products. In this role, you'll work closely with plant leadership, drivers, sales, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

What You'll Do

  • Schedule production and deliveries to meet customer requirements and project deadlines.
  • Coordinate with sales, manufacturing, logistics, and operations to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery scheduling and customer communication.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating accurate and timely delivery information.
  • Lead initiatives to improve production scheduling, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update the facility's master production and delivery schedule.
  • Monitor inventory and material availability, anticipating shortages and coordinating with appropriate teams.
  • Integrate customer orders into the production schedule while ensuring labor, equipment, and materials are available.
  • Communicate schedule changes, delays, and updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Perform a variety of administrative and dispatch-related tasks.
  • Continuously develop new skills while improving current processes and procedures.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Supervise company drivers and support their daily operations.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure fleet readiness.
  • Coordinate third-party trucking resources as needed to meet delivery demands.
  • Support operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of dispatching experience in a construction, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
  • Experience with production scheduling and manufacturing operations.
  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, permitting requirements, and ELD systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in both an office and construction/manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to seasonal weather, noise, dust, and dirt.
  • Must be able to inspect and approve outgoing loads.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
