Job Description
The Quality Engineering Supervisor leads a team responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role oversees inspections and testing, maintains quality systems, analyzes data to drive continuous improvement, and partners with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues. The supervisor also conducts audits, ensures ISO compliance, and develops team capabilities through training and coaching.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors, including training and performance management.
- Oversee product inspections and testing for raw materials, in‑process items, and finished goods.
- Maintain, enforce, and improve quality systems, procedures, and documentation.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, Root Causes, implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other regulatory or internal quality standards.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audit activities.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve product quality variations and enhance product performance.
- Provide coaching and technical guidance on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Documents Root Cause Corrective Action presentations
- Targets specific projects to reduce Cost of Poor Quality resulting in Finance validation
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5–9 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality roles.
- Experience supervising or leading technical teams.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑development skills.
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and cross‑functional partners.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Professional certifications such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Auditor, ASQ CQE/CQA, or related credentials.
- Experience using quality software tools or manufacturing data systems.
- Background in manufacturing, production, or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, or move through production areas as needed.
- Ability to lift or handle materials or equipment up to standard office/production limits (typically 20–30 lbs).
- Visual acuity to perform inspections or review technical documents.
- Ability to work in manufacturing environments, including around machinery, noise, or varying temperatures.
