This role offers the opportunity to strengthen and modernize cloud infrastructure in a fully remote, global technology environment.

The position combines cloud engineering, automation, security, infrastructure management, and emerging technology initiatives.
You will work hands-on with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, virtualization, and infrastructure automation tools.
The role requires a proactive mindset, strong technical expertise, and the ability to improve processes across a distributed organization.
You will collaborate with technology and security teams while contributing to scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions.
The role is responsible for supporting and improving cloud and infrastructure environments through hands-on engineering, automation, documentation, and collaboration with internal technology teams.
- Support and contribute to infrastructure and cloud initiatives across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Assist with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational improvements.
- Improve device management processes using Microsoft Intune, including application deployment, patch management, and endpoint policies.
- Monitor infrastructure costs, identify optimization opportunities, and contribute to cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure systems, processes, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical training and knowledge sharing to IT support teams to reduce unnecessary escalations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to technology processes, workflows, and operational practices.
- Explore and implement AI-powered tools and automation solutions to improve infrastructure operations.
- Support the deployment, hosting, and monitoring of AI-enabled applications within infrastructure environments.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
- Collaborate with security teams to design and implement infrastructure security policies and controls.
The ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure professional with strong cloud expertise, automation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a remote, international environment.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and cloud engineering roles.
- Strong production experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience managing Active Directory environments, including user management, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and hybrid identity solutions with Entra ID and Entra Connect.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Hands-on experience managing virtualization environments such as Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, or Hyper-V.
- Strong experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions, including VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, or Citrix.
- Experience with backup strategies, disaster recovery processes, and infrastructure resilience.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Intune for mobile device management, application deployment, patching, and endpoint policies.
- Experience working with IT ticketing platforms such as Freshservice, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly for different stakeholders.
- Ability to work asynchronously and collaborate effectively in a distributed remote-first environment.
- Experience with Nerdio is a plus.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices using Bicep or Terraform and Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines is desirable.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Microsoft Defender for Cloud is beneficial.
- Experience applying AI tools in technical workflows is considered an advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-140, or similar are a plus.
