This role offers the opportunity to build and scale a next-generation engineering platform combining advanced software development, cloud infrastructure, and AI-native workflows.
You will work across the full technology stack, contributing to a browser-based computational design and generative engineering product.
The position requires strong expertise in frontend, backend, cloud deployment, and secure software architecture.

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating full-stack applications while contributing to platform architecture, developer experience, and cloud infrastructure. This role combines software engineering expertise with ownership of secure, scalable, and maintainable systems.
- Build and evolve frontend applications using TypeScript, React, and Vite within a modern monorepo environment.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python, FastAPI, NumPy, SciPy, and PostgreSQL, ensuring clean architecture and strong performance.
- Design, deploy, and operate applications across self-hosted environments and Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Implement secure identity and access solutions, including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, RBAC, session management, TLS, and secrets management.
- Build and integrate MCP servers, AI-enabled tooling, and prompt-driven development workflows to improve engineering productivity.
- Read, extend, and maintain unfamiliar codebases while contributing improvements through automation and open-source practices.
- Design APIs, data flows, and integrations supporting complex product capabilities and engineering workflows.
- Develop and enhance node-based systems, execution engines, and dataflow components where applicable.
- Create reliable testing strategies, maintain code quality, and support continuous improvement across engineering processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-focused software solutions.
The ideal candidate is a senior full-stack engineer with strong experience building production software, managing cloud environments, and developing modern applications using frontend, backend, and infrastructure technologies.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, and Vite for frontend and platform development.
- Experience working with pnpm workspaces and Turborepo monorepo environments, including dependency management, pipelines, and build optimization.
- Strong Node.js knowledge and experience with Git-based development workflows.
- Advanced experience with PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, and backend data management.
- Proficiency with Python backend development using frameworks and libraries such as FastAPI, NumPy, and SciPy.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications in Linux, Docker, reverse proxy environments, and self-hosted infrastructure.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Service, AKS or Container Apps, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Key Vault, and VNet.
- Knowledge of identity and security practices, including Microsoft Entra ID integration, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, RBAC, API security, and secrets management.
- Experience designing and exposing APIs and data structures for complex applications.
- Experience building or consuming MCP servers, agent tooling, and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Familiarity with AI-native development approaches and tools such as Anthropic API, Claude Code, Cursor, or Replit.
- Ability to independently explore, understand, and extend unfamiliar codebases.
- Strong ownership mindset, adaptability, curiosity, and excellent collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building node editors or dataflow systems using tools such as React Flow, Rete.js, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of graph execution concepts, including DAG processing, caching, serialization, and incremental computation.
- Experience with node-based platforms such as Grasshopper, Dynamo, Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes, nTop, ComfyUI, or Node-RED.
- Experience with 3D technologies, including Three.js, WebGL, GLSL shaders, and geometry interchange formats.
- Background in computational design, generative engineering, robotics, manufacturing automation, or related technical domains.
