Forward Deployment Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer based in the United States.

Join a mission-driven engineering team focused on helping organizations combat financial crime through innovative technology and AI-powered solutions. In this role, you will serve as a technical partner for customers, guiding them from initial implementation through long-term platform success. You will combine software engineering, data integration, and customer-facing expertise to build scalable fraud and compliance solutions. Working closely with product and engineering teams, you will transform complex business requirements into practical technical implementations. This position offers the opportunity to solve challenging data problems, influence product improvements, and make a measurable impact in the fight against financial crime. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-ownership environment and enjoys bridging the gap between technology and customer outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end customer implementations, including technical discovery, integration planning, configuration, testing, and successful deployment.
  • Design and build customer data integrations using APIs, batch ingestion processes, ETL workflows, and data transformation techniques.
  • Analyze complex and imperfect customer datasets, creating reliable mappings and workflows that support fraud and compliance use cases.
  • Develop and optimize fraud and AML detection strategies by translating customer requirements into effective rules, typologies, and investigation workflows.
  • Configure case management processes, including workflows related to investigations, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Deploy and improve AI-powered solutions through phased rollouts and human-in-the-loop approaches.
  • Provide ongoing customer support after implementation through platform tuning, troubleshooting, performance improvements, and enablement.
  • Create scripts, automations, reusable tools, and implementation frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams by sharing customer insights and contributing to platform enhancements.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, communicating effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Implementation Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a similar technical customer-facing role.
  • Background working with SaaS platforms, data platforms, or complex technical products.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, ETL/data pipelines, SQL, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Ability to analyze, transform, and reconcile complex customer data from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for integrations, automation, and tooling.
  • Experience translating unclear business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ability to independently manage complex technical challenges from discovery through resolution.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with engineers, business teams, compliance stakeholders, and executives.
  • Experience working in financial services, fintech, crypto, fraud prevention, or compliance technology is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial crime prevention, AML, KYC, BSA requirements, SAR/CTR processes, sanctions screening, or fraud detection methodologies is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with AI systems, LLMs, or AI agent workflows is a plus.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $150,000–$170,000 USD.
  • Pre-IPO equity opportunities.
  • Fully remote work environment within eligible U.S. states.
  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees.
  • Unlimited paid time off and generous leave programs.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Learning and development stipend.
  • Home office setup support.
  • High-ownership culture focused on innovation, collaboration, professional growth, and meaningful impact.
