This role supports critical military readiness and training initiatives across designated National Guard regions.
The Regional Joint Training Requirements Specialist will contribute to planning, coordination, and assessment activities that strengthen operational preparedness.

Accountabilities

The Regional Joint Training Requirements Specialist will support regional readiness planning, joint training execution, and assessment activities by applying expertise in military training systems and operational coordination. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

  • Support Joint Training System (JTS) execution and regional training readiness initiatives.
  • Coordinate training requirements, planning activities, and readiness assessments across assigned geographic regions.
  • Assist with the development and execution of Joint Training Plans and related documentation.
  • Conduct mission assessments and provide insights to support readiness improvement efforts.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among military organizations, regional teams, and operational stakeholders.
  • Support the coordination of multi-state training activities and ensure alignment with established readiness objectives.
  • Apply knowledge of joint training methodologies, processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize relevant readiness management systems and tools to support planning and assessment activities.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a military readiness professional with experience supporting joint training programs, regional coordination efforts, and operational planning activities. The successful candidate should possess strong facilitation skills, knowledge of military training frameworks, and the ability to manage complex requirements across multiple stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting military readiness, training, or operational programs.
  • Experience supporting Joint Training programs and readiness initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple states, regions, or organizational units.
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of Joint Training System methodology.
  • Experience developing or supporting Joint Training Plans and readiness assessments.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Preferred experience includes National Guard background or prior roles such as State J7, J37, or Operations Officer.
  • Familiarity with readiness and operational systems such as DRRS, JTIMS, or JLLIS is preferred.
