About This Position
The primary responsibility of the Receivables and Account Management Specialist is to perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient monitoring, maintenance, and processing of outstanding customer accounts for the company
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Monitor customer account balances and identify overdue accounts.
· Communicate with customers and internal departments to get updated status for past due invoices, answer payment questions, and assist with customer discrepancies.
· Research any discrepancies on payments received and outstanding balances.
· Maintain accurate and current accounts receivables.
· Develop necessary spreadsheets for accounts receivable collection management.
· Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and maintain records of contact with delinquent customers.
· Review Accounts Receivable aging report and ensure accuracy and timely collections.
· Follow the company's collection process to encourage timely debt payments.
· Perform ongoing reconciliations between company software and general ledger software.
· Perform bookkeeping duties according related to the receipt of payments for customers.
· Perform weekly cash deposits at the local bank branch as determined by supervisor.
· Process remote bank deposits on a daily basis.
· Assist in processing daily payments.
· Manage Accounts Receivable email box and assist in processing any ACH or Credit Card payment requests.
· Maintain adequate physical and electronic filing system.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience, preferred
· Previous experience with QuickBooks a plus
· Knowledge of relevant accounting software, or ability to learn
· Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and systems
· Proficient data entry and management
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
· 2+ years working knowledge and use of Excel
