VAE is seeking an F5 Network Engineer to support our Operations Team contract at the Pentagon. • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance
• Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Must have ONE or more of the following active network certifications: Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA).
• Education: Bachelorâ??s Degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
• Years' Experience:Â
• 10+ or more years of related information technology experience
• 3+ yearsâ?? experience supporting DOD, DISA, or JSP Network environments.
• Expert knowledge of information technology principles, methods, and techniques.
• Experience with F5 load balancers to include troubleshooting, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, and monitoring an enterprise F5 load balancer network architecture.
• Extensive experience troubleshooting, managing, and monitoring the health of Cisco and Juniper routers and switches.
• Extensive experience in Software Define Networks (SDN). Broad understanding of network infrastructure topologies, security policies, firewalls, and the L2/L3 switch and router infrastructure.
• Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network systems, switching, and routing protocol standards such as: TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, SDN, and 802.1x.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP in a large multi-site environment.
• Experience with network security, including firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, and vulnerability remediation.
