PARTNERSHIPS
Play a vital role in supporting strategic initiatives across all City departments such as Fire, Police, Public Works, Recreation, Communications, HR, Community Development, Finance, and City Hall.
As the IT Administrative Coordinator, your day will be filled with a mix of organizing tasks, helping people with their tech needs, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll support staff by managing equipment orders, setting up new employees with the right technology, handling basic tech issues, and working with vendors. You’ll also help track inventory, update records, and assist with projects like cybersecurity training and internal communications. It’s a role that touches many parts of the organization and plays a key part in keeping City technology organized and efficient.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable juggling a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and enjoys being a go-to resource for both the IT team and other departments across the City. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating purchase orders, renewals, and invoices
- Overseeing employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT standpoint, improving the consistency and quality of setup and deactivation procedures
- Supporting the maintenance of Level 1 helpdesk tickets, improving ticket triage
- Administering the City’s cybersecurity training platform, ensuring compliance and user participation across departments
- Leading IT-related internal communications and marketing initiatives to promote awareness and education regarding systems, tools, and best practices
- Five years of administrative and office support experience
- Prior experience with purchasing and accounts payable is helpful, but not required
- Proven experience supporting project-based work in a business or operational setting
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Experience managing service contracts and documentation
