** MLT: $10,000 with a 2 year commitment

Job Summary

• The Laboratory Supervisor plans, coordinates and supervises under the guidance of the Section Pathologist (Medical Director) and the Laboratory Director; responsible for the effective utilization of available human, technical and material resources in providing timely, quality clinical laboratory test results within the Clinical Laboratory.
• Maintains competence on all tests/instruments in their area(s) of responsibility.

Education and/or Experience

• Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a two-year college or university and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) from a four-year college or university and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Previous supervisory and financial management experience is preferred.

License/Certification/Registration

• Certification in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from the American Society Clinical Sciences (ASCP) or equivocal agency is required within 12 months of hire.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday - varied 8, 10, or 12 hour between 5am - 8pm
• Occasional weekend and Holiday (According to Tech Rotation)
• Full Time; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $27.00 - $40.50
