Position Description:

Assists CDC Lead Care Providers and Part-Time Care Providers in all aspects of child care educational programming, general center upkeep and housekeeping.

Position Responsibilities: 40.00% - Assist Lead Care Provider and Pare Time Care Provider in supervision of classrooms and playgrounds. 30.00% - Assist Lead Care Provider and Part Time Care Provider in preparation of educational programming and daily routines. 25.00% - Assist Lead Care Providers and Part Time Care Providers in general housekeeping tasks. 5.00% - Attend mandated staff meetings and recommended training opportunities. Assist the Center in public relation efforts (including occasional evenings and weekends). Expectations: Interact with all children with dignity and respect and in accordance with all industry accepted/CDC approved, and developmentally appropriate practices. Understanding and appreciation for child development. Demonstrate commitment to the highest ethical standards of professional practice, as well as personal and professional integrity. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience - Preferred experience working with children. Education - High School education or GED. Other Skills - Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of this job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside/or outside the college, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information which may require some discussion. Physical Requirements: The work requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing, repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping, recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as computer, printers or record boxes.
