About This Position
Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for performing light assembly of electro-mechanical components in a controlled manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, steady hand coordination, and the ability to follow standardized work instructions to ensure product quality and consistency.
Essential Functions:
- Perform light assembly of electro-mechanical products and subassemblies
- Follow work instructions, drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct basic soldering tasks (through-hole and/or small component work)
- Inspect components and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report defects, material issues, or process concerns to supervision
- Support production goals by meeting daily output and quality targets
- Assist with basic packaging, labeling, and material handling as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant assembly experience, preferably in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
- Prior soldering experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow basic assembly drawings and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Skills & Requirements
- Good eyesight and manual dexterity for fine, detailed work
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during the workday
- Steady hands and good hand-eye coordination
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards
Working Conditions
- Light industrial / production environment
- Repetitive tasks requiring focus and precision
- Use of small tools, soldering equipment, and assembly fixtures
