Responsibilities


Tired of unpredictable pipelines, last-minute rushes, and constant fire drills? First Equity Mortgage, the in-house lender for Drees Homes, is hiring a Mortgage Loan Processor to join a stable, purchase-focused lending environment built for long-term success.


First Equity benefits from consistent builder-driven volume, strong operation support, and leadership that understands what clean, efficient processing looks like. This role is ideal for a processor who values structure, accountability - not chaos. Our processors average a pipeline of 18-22 loans. Files are prescreened before assignment and conditions are clearly documented.

What You'll Do
  • Process mortgage loans in accordance with First Equity Mortgage procedures
  • Gather borrower documentation and order third-party verifications
  • Submit clean, complete loans to underwriting within defined timelines
  • Review appraisals for accuracy guideline compliance
  • Clear underwriting, QC, and investor conditions efficiently
  • Submit approved loans to closing
  • Assist with suspended loans as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Mortgage loan processing experience (purchase preferred)
  • Knowledge of conventional and government loan programs
  • Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow files through closing
  • Encompass experience a plus
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset
