This strategic field-based role focuses on improving patient access to medicines by optimizing reimbursement pathways and building strong partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem in Atlantic Canada. You will operate at the intersection of market access, health policy, and stakeholder engagement, translating complex reimbursement and policy insights into actionable strategies that improve coverage for patients. The role requires close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams as well as external stakeholders such as payers, healthcare authorities, and patient organizations. You will also contribute to negotiation strategies, product listing agreements, and broader access initiatives that directly influence healthcare outcomes. Working in a highly collaborative and mission-driven environment, you will play a key role in advancing patient access while navigating a complex and evolving policy landscape. This is a field-based position requiring strong autonomy, strategic thinking, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize public and private reimbursement and patient access across Atlantic Canada.
- Collaborate with internal experts to support submissions to health technology assessment (HTA) bodies and payer organizations.
- Contribute to negotiation strategies and support discussions with payers and external partners when required.
- Lead the development and review of provincial product listing agreements in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient groups, and government representatives.
- Monitor and analyze the Canadian reimbursement landscape and provincial policy trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Represent the organization in industry forums and contribute to shaping access-related discussions and positions.
- Support broader national strategy initiatives through participation in internal committees and working groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, health policy, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of drug reimbursement processes and healthcare stakeholder decision-making.
- Experience in market access or pharmaceutical industry roles is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to analyze complex policy and reimbursement environments and translate them into clear strategies.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
