This role sits at the intersection of clinical care coordination, patient support, and healthcare system navigation, focusing on improving timely access to therapies for patients within structured support programs. You will work closely with physicians, clinics, insurers, and patients to coordinate reimbursement pathways, resolve access barriers, and ensure continuity of care. Acting as a trusted field-based partner, you will provide guidance on coverage processes, assist with enrolment documentation, and support reimbursement navigation across public and private systems. The role combines relationship management, clinical understanding, and operational coordination in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will also contribute insights from the field to improve program effectiveness and service quality. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who thrives in autonomous, client-facing work with meaningful patient impact.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will coordinate patient access programs in collaboration with healthcare providers and insurers while ensuring smooth program execution and high-quality service delivery. You will act as a key liaison between physicians, patients, and internal teams, supporting reimbursement processes and improving access to therapy.

  • Customize and support patient assistance program elements based on physician and patient needs
  • Coordinate enrolment processes, reimbursement forms, and documentation to support coverage approvals
  • Identify and escalate barriers to access, working with program management to improve outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, clinics, and healthcare teams
  • Support patients through reimbursement navigation, financial assistance coordination, and therapy access processes (where applicable)
  • Track program activity, ensure KPI alignment, and complete required reporting and documentation
  • Provide training and updates to healthcare professionals on program processes and new initiatives
  • Participate in physician meetings, education events, and field-based program representation activities
Requirements

This position requires strong clinical experience, knowledge of reimbursement systems, and the ability to manage relationships across multiple healthcare stakeholders. You should be comfortable working independently in a field-based role while maintaining strong coordination with internal teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or nursing diploma
  • Active nursing license (RN or RPN/LPN) in the province of employment
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance environments
  • At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience (clinic or related setting preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of public and private reimbursement systems, prior authorization, and appeals processes
  • Experience in case management, patient support programs, or field-based healthcare coordination is an asset
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret healthcare regulations and processes
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within an assigned territory (including occasional overnight travel)
  • Bilingualism (French and/or English) may be required depending on region and program
