About This Position
The primary purpose of the Operations Manager for Paloma Pressure Control is to manage the profitability of the assigned location; to manage assigned assets and inventories; and to plan, schedule and monitoring the start-up through completion of pressure control projects. This will include the supervision of manpower assigned to these activities, the coordination of the delivery of materials and utilization of equipment for the successful completion of assigned projects on time, at or under budget, to meet quality standards and to meet customer specifications and satisfaction. This position gets the crews quickly off to their destinations prepared for the day’s work, checks them in at the end of the day, and makes sure that they are ready for the next work day. This position serves as an advisor and resource for technical field and equipment problems. This is a highly visible position both in Paloma Pressure Control and in the local oil field service community.
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE OPERATIONS MANAGER-Manages the profitability of the assigned location
-Manages inventories and tracks assigned assets
-Schedules and plans the start-up through completion of pressure control projects.
-Ensures that projects are completed as planned and at or under budget.
-Ensures work process, productivity and quality standards are met.
-Ensures that all reports, documents, and communications from the field are filled out accurately, completely, and submitted on a timely basis.
-Supervises assigned positions.
-Promotes safety at the yard location, job site, and when traveling to and from customer locations.
-Purchases job materials and shop supplies.

EDUCATION
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
Required: Valid and current Class C Drivers License for state of operation with clean driving record.
EXPERIENCE
Required: Two or more year’s experience as an Operator or Crew Supervisor at Paloma or in a similar pressure control contracting business.
Preferred: Five or more year’s experience as an Operator or Crew Supervisor at Paloma or in a similar pressure control contracting business.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Ability to guide, direct, and coordinate the work of multiple individuals or units at the same time.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to plan jobs, schedule, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.Must be a dynamic individual who is 100% customer-oriented with the ability to motivate and work with a team of dedicated employees, the ability to provide work direction, to work within established time and cost guidelines, and to monitor progress and take action to achieve project and profitability objectives.
Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, other contractors, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community regarding pressure control work.
General knowledge of the Company’s industry, technologies, and trends impacting its business.
Must possess good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in English, to interact with clients and fellow employees, write and read reports and make presentations as required. Occasionally must communicate with customers and inspectors in stressful situations.
Must be available for after hour and weekend calls in emergency situations as decided by supervisor and based on the needs of the business.
Ability to run pressure control crews in a profitable manner. Previous successful experience managing bottom line profitability is preferred.
Ability to develop and train subordinates to meet the needs of the business.
Ability to read and interpret site layouts, schematics, shop drawings, technical diagrams, and project plans.
Ability to use tape measure and scale rule correctly.
Working knowledge of pressure control equipment use, maintenance and repair.
