Role Description
The Paid Media Strategist exists as more than just a tactical ads specialist but a strategically minded operator that transforms business priorities into performance marketing realities. This role exists to own the full lifecycle of paid media, scaling our presence across social and search channels to drive efficient growth and measurable revenue.

Responsibilities
- Performance marketing ownership Owns the full lifecycle of paid advertising across Meta, Google, TikTok, etc. This includes everything from campaign strategy and build to daily optimization, creative testing, and performance reporting.
- Budget Management: Oversees an annual budget with a primary focus on maintaining a consistent 3.0 in-platform ROAS.
- Platform execution Lives in the platforms daily managing budgets, audiences, and bids with a constant eye on efficiency metrics like ROAS, CPA, MER, and CPM.
- Creative Collaboration: Partner with our internal design and social teams to brief, develop, and test high-performing static and video assets.
- Data Reporting and Interpretation Translates campaign data into clear business insights which leads to iteration, new tests, and new opportunities.
- Cross functional alignment Collaborates with e-commerce, mass retail, and product teams to ensure paid programs are aligned with product launches, seasonal priorities, and broader revenue goals.
- Channel expertise This role adapts with updates to channels like Meta, Google, and TikTok and is curious about upcoming and underutilized channels for potential growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in performance marketing preferably with a CPG brand that has a strong direct to consumer business.
- Budget management: Experienced developing and managing a performance marketing budget. Can do scenario modeling to understand how budget changes can affect overall performance. This person should understand when and how to scale, cut back, and reallocate funds.
- Analytic proficiency: Comfortable working with performance data, identifying trends, and making fast decisions grounded in paid media math (CTR, CVR, ROAS, CPA, AOV). Understands how data is important, how to use it, and makes decisions based on data. Experience with PowerBI, Shopify data, and the social media platforms’ reporting tools a plus.
- Creative testing leadership: Ability to brief creators and internal teams with performance-driven insights that will generate winning creative. Has experience structuring creative tests and running them through to completion.
- Platform fluency: Knows how to create, edit, and analyze campaigns in Meta, Google, and TikTok. Knowledge of Reddit and YouTube helpful. There are many tools at one’s disposal so understanding what tools are best for each objective is necessary.
