About This Position
Job Summary:
Sr. Financial Analyst Cost will be responsible for directing and ensuring all financial, production scheduling, and inventory functions are performed in an accurate and timely fashion following accepted accounting principles in a manufacturing environment. Primary functions include analyzing data associated with manufacturing costs, material purchasing, inventory, product design, and labor, tracking, approving, and reviewing all capital expenditures, and preparing annual operating financial plans for specific operational sites/plants.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage and analyze cost structures to ensure accurate and timely costing.
Responsible for managing the costs of our contract manufacturers.
Perform detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and operational performance.
Support forecasting activities, including tracking variances and improving forecast accuracy.
Support month end close activities and reporting requirements.
Responsible for partnering with our manufacturing sites to collect and understand data to drive decision.
Partner with Supply Chain and Operations on cost impacts from formulation or process changes.
Maintain accuracy of costing data in ERP/BI systems.
Improve costing processes, controls, and automation opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize work and adhere to strict deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost and financial data.
Detail-oriented and highly accurate.
Quarterly travel required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree, preferred in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
At least 3 years of relevant financial or accounting experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Previous manufacturing industry experience is a plus
Superior analytical and financial modeling capabilities emphasizing cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of AS400 and Inform preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Advanced Excel required.

The pay range for this position is $70,000-$78,000 annually. The base pay offered may vary depending on the position offered, geographic location, education, training, and/or experience.
