About This Position
The Lead Braze Technician is directly responsible for application of filler metals, stop off, and fluxes per process sheets.
Essential Functions:
· Completes production plan by monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, reporting results on their shift.
· Responsible for application of filler metals, stop off, and fluxes per process sheets
· Follow written specifications, initial and date all processes performed including quantity, condition, lot numbers, etc.
· Complete all paperwork and follow all instructions upon completion of each task.
· Inspect parts for compliance to match router
· Operate related equipment, such as power tools when required
· Maintain accurate logs and monitor equipment to ensure it is producing the proper output
· Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean workplace
· Uses personal protective equipment as required by the job, including but not limited to the wearing of safety vest, gloves, and eye protection
· Perform duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently, observing and complying with all safety and health rules (OSHA, MTI, and SDS Standards), including safe operation of all equipment
· Exercises care and safety in the use of equipment and tools required to complete assigned tasks
· Reports all accidents to supervisor immediately
· Assists subordinates in the proper work procedures and practices to be followed.
· Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates and shall exercise any additional powers that are or may be legally conferred upon the position by the Supervisor, Production Manager or Plant General Manager.
Trains temporary or new employees for 2nd shift.
Requirements:· High school diploma/GED or equivalent supplemented by one years’ experience in furnace or heat-treating operations
· Reasonable knowledge of work methods, practices and procedures involved in a variety of maintenance and repair activities
· Familiarity with operation of power tools a plus
· Understand customer drawings
· Good written and oral communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with other staff
· Organized and detail-oriented with strong level of accuracy and the ability to multi-task
· Ability to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines
· High level of integrity; ability to handle confidential information
