Pastry Chef at BARCA PIER AND WINE BAR & Adas on the River – ALEXANDRIA, Virginia

Position Description: We are seeking a talented Pastry Chef. The ideal candidate has a passion for pastry arts, strong technical skills, and is consistent in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Position Responsibilities:

• Execute dessert menus, including seasonal offerings
• Prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, breads, and confections
• Monitor food costs and minimize waste
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with daily production schedules and inventory levels
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualitfications -

• At least 2 years of experience in pastry production
• At least 1 year of experience in pastry service in a full-service restaurant or hotel
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and dessert presentation
