About This Position
Location: Ocala, FL (Relocating to Belleview, FL in 2026)Company: Chad’s Water Works Plumbing LLCPay: Flat rate/piece rate — $800 to $3,000+ per week (based on projects/ fixtures completed; no experience-based variation)Job Type: Full-time | 40-50 hrs/week | Monday–Friday | Field Based
POSITION SUMMARYThis is a hands-on, field leadership role for a residential plumber who installs, tests, and completes full plumbing systems in new construction homes and remodel projects. The Residential Plumber is paid on a flat rate/piece rate scale — earning $800 to $3,000+ per week by completing profitable, code-compliant installs quickly and accurately. This position covers both custom home and tract housing work. While full-scope plumbers are preferred, we also welcome applicants with strong skills in specific residential phases (e.g., 2nd roughs, trims). You must be able to run your own truck, lead apprentices, and deliver top-quality results without daily supervision.Applicants skilled in either tract housing or custom home builds (or both) are encouraged to apply.DO NOT APPLY if you have never run your own truck as a Residential Plumber.This is NOT an apprentice position. OBJECTIVESInstall 1st rough, 2nd rough, and final trim systems for custom and tract homesRead and follow blueprints, specs, and scheduling instructionsLayout pipe runs and stage materials for upcoming phasesSet fixtures, test systems, and correct any punch itemsUphold jobsite safety standards and ensure code complianceOperate: pipe threaders, saws, core drills, chipping hammers, hydrostatic pumpsMaintain your own tool setup; bring personal tools dailyLead helpers or apprentices on siteCommunicate clearly with supervisors and field coordinatorsRepresent Chad’s Water Works Plumbing with professionalism on every job
COMPETENCIESExperience with both high-volume tract schedules and/ or detailed custom buildsKnowledge of CPVC, PEX, copper, and PVC drainage systemsSkilled in residential fixture installs, pressure testing, and jobsite layoutExperienced in running full residential plumbing systems — solo or in tandem with apprentice/crew supportAbility to work from plans and coordinate with other tradesValid Florida driver’s license with clean recordDrug-free and background check readyStrong communicator and team leaderDependable, coachable, and respectfulArrives on time, fully stocked, and prepared for the day
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE3+ years as a lead plumber on residential new construction & remodel plumbing projects (apprentice time does not count)Proven ability to complete at least two of the three residential plumbing phases (1st rough, 2nd rough, trim)High school diploma or GED preferredExperience completing plumbing scopes for ground-up construction required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLift and carry up to 75 lbsWork on ladders, in crawlspaces, or on rooftopsStand, climb, kneel, and crouch for long periodsWork in Florida heat and active jobsite conditionsOperate heavy tools and materials safely
