About the Role:
The Parts Counter position at Jack Schmitt Ford, Inc. is essential for ensuring that our service department operates smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing the inventory of automotive parts and accessories, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the needs of our technicians. The Parts Counter representative will be responsible for accurately processing orders, maintaining stock levels, and assisting customers with their inquiries. Shift is generally 8:30AM-5PM Monday through Friday, but some flexibility may be required at times. Dependability is critical. A successful candidate will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our clients by ensuring they receive the correct parts in a timely manner. Ultimately, this position plays a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of our dealership and fostering long-term customer relationships.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a parts counter or automotive parts sales role.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Experience with customer service in a retail or automotive environment.
- Certification in automotive parts management or related field.
- Ford Experience
- CDK DMS Experience
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in identifying and ordering the correct automotive parts and accessories.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that stock levels are sufficient to meet demand.
- Process sales transactions and manage returns or exchanges as necessary.
- Collaborate with service technicians to provide timely parts support for vehicle repairs.
- Stay updated on new products and industry trends to better assist customers.
