About This Position

About the Role

Account Management Responsibilities:
  • Up front management of clients and projects (as directed by Regional Manager) to include working with established teams in the Region on effective multi-site program management, feasibility/due diligence, contract preparation and project setup, establishing expectations and risks
  • For assigned clients/projects, provide senior level expertise to Project Managers and Design Staff on:
    • Sophisticated civil planning, entitlement and design projects, and jurisdictions. Utilize extensive experience of past projects to prevent repeatable mistakes on new projects
    • Review foresight and future work projections in collaboration with BM/PM

Client Experience/Business Development Responsibilities:
  • Account Management for defined list of clients
  • Use day to day project involvement to broaden and deepen relationships with the client team
  • Source new client opportunities through personal brand, referrals, and attending industry events in coordination with the local BD team
  • Identify potential new recruits through events and client referrals

Regional Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level consultation to BM on client and project related decisions
  • Assist staff to increase jurisdiction knowledge, expertise and remain ‘ahead of the curve’ with process/code changes in conjunction with the local office teams
  • Alongside BMs and PMs, cultivate and grow relationships with jurisdiction entities to enable sophisticated projects to be efficiently navigated through the design and permitting process
  • Actively coordinate with Direct Client, Business Development, and BM to reinforce development efforts for rising management team members.
  • Be a resource to TRG to ensure they have current standards/expectations for defined list of clients and be a resource to TRG to convey feedback regarding skills and aptitude of design teams. If they are missing capabilities with the design teams, work with TRG, Regional Manager and BM on solution(s).

Additional Focus:
  • Client experience improved, especially regarding understanding of project scheduling,strategies, and budget impacts
  • Increase and maintain Market share with existing clients and receive referrals.
  • Improved QA/QC due to IMM and CGU involvement (avoid costly mistakes further into project).
  • Improve financial outcomes through application of sophisticated civil planning experience application.
  • Expanded resources for external boards, committees, etc. (BD) and internal initiatives.
  • Improve scores/participation in CLP (budget, helpfulness, schedule, scope/fees)
  • Create and enact remedies required from feedback
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Surveying, or related fields and/or equivalent experience required or Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Surveying, or related fields and/or equivalent experience

Work Experience:
  • 15+ years land development and permitting experience including residential, commercial, industrial site design, and jurisdictional approvals/permitting

Skills:
  • PE, LSA, PLS or licensed professional in related fields preferred
  • Local and regional industry contacts and the ability to develop and market to new and existing clients
  • Business acumen with demonstrated success meeting metric goals & knowledge of the fundamentals and components that makes the business successful
  • Managerial experience leading team through all phases of civil site design and permitting process life cycle
  • Effective, polished communicator Understanding of cross-functional disciplines for the suite of services, including OST related services, that Bohler provides
