Role Overview

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Manager

Location: Remote

Department: PLLC / Medical Operations

Reports to: VP of Operations

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000

The Nurse Practitioner Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative and business operations aspects of the Restore Medical Practice (PLLC). In this role, the NP Manager acts as both a people leader and individual contributor, responsible for the leadership, direction, and oversight of the nurse practitioners reporting directly to them. This is a people-first, education-forward role that requires strong clinical credibility combined with exceptional organizational and technology skills. The NP Manager develops collaborative relationships with operational and clinical partners to support system initiatives and maintains a clinical practice within this leadership role.

Who Thrives Here

This role is a strong fit if you are a clinician who loves developing other clinicians, can hold a high bar without being rigid, and understand that strong people management and strong clinical standards are not in conflict. You are energized by building structure, invested in the growth of your team, and ready to lead in an environment that is evolving quickly. You are highly tech-savvy with advanced organizational skills and comfort managing complex scheduling, data analytics platforms, and remote team operations.

This role is not the right fit if you are looking for a primarily patient-facing role, seeking involvement in business or financial decisions, or not yet ready to invest the majority of your time in coaching, developing, and managing others.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the VP of Operations. The NP Manager does not hold final clinical authority. Final clinical authority sits with the Medical Director. Business strategy, financial decisions, and operational direction are owned by the Director of Telehealth and VP of Operations.

  • Serve as the first point of escalation for provider concerns, scheduling conflicts, and performance issues

  • Provide growth opportunities and projects for team members to advance their careers

  • Surface team feedback, patterns, and risks to Executive Leadership with clear recommendations

  • Foster a culture of accountability, psychological safety, and clinical excellence

  • Maintain open lines of communication within team

Scheduling & Operations Management

  • Supervise daily practice operations including patient scheduling, load leveling, and overflow management

  • Monitor multi-state licensure status of NPs and ensure timely renewals

  • Stay within budgeted allocations for team and manage resource planning

  • Be available to conduct telehealth visits as needed to support patient and provider coverage

Clinical Consultation & Support

  • Serve as a consultative resource for NPs navigating complex patient cases, clinical questions, or scope of practice concerns

  • Support the rollout of new service lines, protocols, or procedures through structured education and hands-on guidance

  • Maintain active NP licensure in 10 or more states to support coverage flexibility

  • Provide ongoing clinical mentorship to ensure high-quality patient care

Compliance, Quality Assurance & Data Analytics

  • Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards and regulations

  • Work with team to maintain compliance requirements across all states

  • Monitor NP licensure, credentialing, and compliance requirements

  • Partner with operations and legal teams to ensure provider practices align with state-specific telehealth and scope of practice regulations
