Job Description
Employer Partner Development:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers across construction, skilled trades, and high-demand industries to create employment opportunities for program participants.
• Grow employer network: Prospect, engage, and onboard 20-30 new employer partners annually, maintain a portfolio of 30–40 active accounts, and formalize MOUs to establish consistent hiring pipelines.
• Drive job opportunities: Secure 50–75 job orders per year aligned with livable wages, career growth, and accessibility for program participants.
• Deliver placement outcomes: Achieve 200+ participant placements annually while conducting quarterly employer check-ins to strengthen partnerships and align with workforce needs.
Other Key Responsibilities
Customized Recruitment Strategies
• Collaborate with employers to design and implement recruitment strategies aligned with their hiring needs, including guidance on job descriptions, qualifications, and skill requirements.
Job Matching & Placement Support
• Work closely with Employment Recruiter and internal teams to analyze candidate qualifications and match job seekers to appropriate employment opportunities.
Job Fairs and Hiring Events
• Plan, coordinate, promote, and participate in hiring events, job fairs, and industry roundtables to connect employers with qualified candidates.
Workforce Training Alignment
• Collaborate with employers to identify workforce training needs and support alignment between training programs and employer demand.
Labor Market Insights
• Stay informed on local labor market trends, industry growth, and workforce demands to guide employer engagement and recruitment strategies.
Follow-Up and Employer Feedback
• Maintain ongoing communication with employer partners to gather feedback on candidate placements, hiring outcomes, and overall satisfaction.
Employer Services Promotion
• Educate employers on SERJobs services — including candidate pipelines, training programs, and workforce support — positioning SERJobs as a strategic workforce partner.
Data Collection and Reporting
• Track employer engagement, partnerships, placements, and outcomes in Salesforce and other systems; generate reports to evaluate performance and support grant compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Recruitment, Navigation, Training, and Employment teams to ensure a seamless pipeline from candidate recruitment through job placement.
Community Networking
• Represent SERJobs at community events, employer meetings, industry forums, and workforce initiatives to strengthen visibility and partnerships.
Data Integrity and Documentation
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date data entry for employer interactions, services provided, and outcomes achieved; maintain detailed records in internal systems.
Customer Service & Excellence
• Promote a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness in all employer interactions, ensuring strong relationships and satisfaction.
Employer Needs Assessment
• Identify specific workforce needs of employers and connect them to appropriate workforce solutions, including recruitment, training, and placement support.
Additional Responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals and organizational priorities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITES & OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience in business development, employer engagement, workforce development, or recruiting preferred
• Knowledge of construction, skilled trades, or general labor workforce needs preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills
• Experience with data tracking and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
• Ability to analyze workforce trends and translate insights into actionable strategies
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree required (fields such as Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Public Administration, or a related discipline preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education and directly related professional experience may be considered
• 3–5 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining employer partnerships, preferably within construction, skilled trades, or high-demand industries
• Strong organizational and data tracking skills, with experience using systems such as Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to manage outreach, pipelines, and performance metrics
