Registered Nurse at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton Health is seeking a RN to work in our clinical environment. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, critical thinking and organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, possess excellent communication skills, have a solid knowledge of computers, and have the initiative to work independently. We have an atmosphere of teamwork that we expect to continue with all new hires as you will work closely with the physicians, managers, nursing, and clerical staff as an integral component assisting with the daily operations of our clinics. We have clinics on all 5 campuses. The RN will coordinate nursing care for patients while in the Physician Clinics, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient team personnel. A detailed-orientated, dependable, organized nurse who is able to multi task and has demonstrated a consistent work history will be the candidate chosen for the job! Your responsibilities will include' but are not limited to the following: assessing the patient systematically and utilizing the assessment data to plan appropriate nursing care; implementing care based on knowledge of professional standards of nursing practice; assisting the physician with patients' plan of care and patient's response to the nursing intervention on a continuous basis; and identifying the learning needs of patients and family members and meets these through the teaching/learning process. The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will not be required to work weekends and holidays. A RN with a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the state of Louisiana will be required for this position.
