Job Description

Job Summary
  • Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Functions Manager is responsible for all catering services as required by the hospital. To include, planning, ordering, food preparation, set-up and cleanup of all meetings and special events for the facility to ensure customer satisfaction. Implements business practices in order to uphold the hospital’s mission and values. Contributes to department revenue and operating profit.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education
    • High School Diploma Required
    • Culinary degree not required, however, preferred
  • Experience
    • Supervisor/Managerial experience: Not required, however, preferred
    • Culinary experience
  • Licensure and/or Certification
    • Serve-Safe certified or complete certification within 90 days of start of job
  • Skills
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
    • Computer skills required.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
    • Ability to follow proper cash handling procedures
