Position overview

The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation is processed and reported in accordance with customer contracts and in compliance with Federal, State, local laws and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensures all contractual obligations related to certified payroll (CPR) are processed/submitted within the required time frames to meet all project requirements.
  • Assists Compliance Supervisor with gathering required documentation for audits.
  • Coordinates weekly submission of certified payroll reports.
  • Submits and/or uploads compliance documentation into the project specified CPR tracking system (e.g., LCPtracker, Prism, eMars, or other similar online reporting systems).
  • Coordinates and interfaces with both internal and external customers, as necessary, to ensure labor compliance on all company jobs; including but not limited to customers, general contractors, government agencies, labor unions.
  • Reviews new job startup packages for CPR and prevailing wage requirements.
  • Performs reporting, filing, maintenance, and/or data entry of CPR and other compliance related documentation.
  • Prepares communications, such as emails, reports, and other correspondence as required to conduct business.
  • Works with Compliance Supervisor and Operations to resolve escalated issues.
  • Assists with processing of tiered subcontractor CPR documentation as needed.
  • Ensures all A/R issues are handled immediately to avoid payment delays.
    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines through analytical problem solving
  • Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Highly detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Display superior written, oral communication skills and effective listening skills
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and integrity, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
  • Ability to handle a high volume of certified payroll reporting each week
    Experience working in a construction company or related field highly desired
  • Experience working with prevailing wage law/DIR is a must
  • Ability to self-check own work to adhere to all policies
  • Strong analytical skills with numbers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Elations Systems, LCP Tracker, Prism, Coins, and eCPR Form Application (From State of California)
  • Have excellent customer service skills

Education and/ or Experience

  • Construction background preferred
  • 1-3 years of work experience in the certified payroll field preferred
