About This Position

We are a growing manufacturer of electrical control systems and products and are looking for the right candidate to help with design implementation, internal production design, specialty projects, and programming.
The Key Accountabilities for Designer Electrical Control Panels are:
1) Conducting engineering support to Production for in-house products to ensure design meets customer and industry standards. (50%)
Produce a set of project drawings including bill of material, one-lines, schematics, Perforex machine drawings and layout.
Develop quotes based on bill of material and/or drawings (conceptual, standard or customer supplied) using the Quote Template and submit quote to customer.
Provide technical assistance to internal customers to support the transition from design to Production
Update drawings from fabrication to as-builts and estimates for final product.
Manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
Maintain contact with customer during production build to relay completion date, production issues, part changes and approval, etc.
2) Provide engineering services direct to customers to maintain existing revenue stream streams (30%)
Review existing drawings package including Bills of Material, Layout Drawing and Electrical Schematic for quoting.
Produce a set of project drawings including bill of material, one-lines, schematics, Perforex machine drawings and layout if required by the customer.
Develop quotes based on bill of material and/or drawings (conceptual, standard or customer supplied) using the Quote Template and submit quote to customer.
Provide technical assistance to sales conducting specification reviews and submittal comment reviews on projects.
3) Conducting engineering for new products to add revenue streams for the company. (20%)
Coordinate the product design, including creation of:
Bill of Material
Layout Drawing
Electrical Schematic
Schematic for value added improvements.
Provide technical assistance to sales conducting specification reviews on projects.
Provide technical assistance to sales conducting submittal comment reviews on projects.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in electrical engineering preferred
Relevant years of experience in electrical control panel design will be considered
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN experience a plus
Knowledge of UL 508A / 698A standards a plus
Knowledge of PLC programming a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 products, especially Excel and Word.
Detail oriented, demonstrates willingness to learn and progress professionally.
