Lead Rest Area Worker at Tresco, Inc. – Deming, New Mexico

🕒 Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday | 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
💰 Starting Pay: $16.25/hr

Do you take pride in keeping things clean, safe, and running smoothly? Tresco, Inc. is looking for a dependable and hands-on Lead Rest Area Worker to oversee the day-to-day upkeep of the Yucca Rest Area off I-10 near Deming.

In this important role, you’ll help ensure that visitors—from families on road trips to long-haul truckers—have a positive experience at one of New Mexico’s vital roadside stops. You’ll lead by example, work independently and with a team, and take ownership of both the details and the big picture.

• Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, buildings, shelters, and grounds to contract standards

• Responding promptly and professionally to site needs and calls while on duty

• Keeping the rest area safe, stocked, and welcoming for all visitors

• Communicating with colleagues and supervisors in a respectful, clear, and policy-aligned manner

• Operating a company vehicle and maintaining its cleanliness inside and out

• Carrying your work phone and responding to calls and messages in a timely manner

• Leading by example while supporting your team with site tasks

• Performing additional duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED

• At least 6 months of experience in janitorial work, facilities maintenance, lawn care, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work

• Ability to work independently and with a team

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English

• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Ability to secure and maintain an NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) clearance

• Comfortable using basic computer programs and devices for documentation and communication

• Strong professionalism, time management, and reliability

💬 Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
🚗 Must be comfortable driving a company or personal vehicle while on the job.
