Tresco is looking for a Rest Area Supervisor to oversee the daily operations at our Yucca Rest Area in Deming, NM. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for guiding staff, managing maintenance duties, and ensuring the rest area exceeds cleanliness and safety standards for all travelers.

• Supervise, train, mentor, and support rest area employees

• Act as a role model while working alongside your crew

• Coordinate orientation and ongoing staff development

• Maintain open communication with Highway Supervisors and Leads

• Step in to assist with janitorial and grounds work when needed

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including restocking restrooms, cleaning shelters, and picking up litter

• Oversee minor repairs and rest area upkeep (air filters, septic tanks, flag displays, etc.)

• Ensure accurate documentation of completed work

• Organize workflow and set task priorities to ensure maximum efficiency

• Monitor and support staff in completing training through onsite tablets

• Use Microsoft Office tools effectively (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1+ year of experience in general maintenance, janitorial/landscaping, or team leadership

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to lead and work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass a background check and driver’s license record check
