About This Position

Leads and coordinates institutional compliance efforts in accordance with the Council on Occupational Education (COE) requirements. Provides leadership and coordination of programmatic accreditations. Serves as the coordinator of Occupational Advisory Committee meetings, membership lists, and documentation. Audits institutional industry contact logs. Assists with annual placement and outcome audits.

  1. Leads, provides oversight and guidance, and coordinates institutional and programmatic accreditation processes.
  2. Stays current with COE and programmatic accreditation policies and procedures and disseminates information to faculty and administration.
  3. Provides oversight and ensures timely submission of substantive change requests, new program applications, and reports required by COE. Conducts annual compliance audits and maintains documentation related to accreditation and COE requirements.
  4. Ensures chairpersons are assigned for each COE standard and that each chairperson understands the requirements and the documentation needed to demonstrate compliance.
  5. Provides initial and ongoing training to directors on COE guidelines and requirements pertaining to their areas of emphasis.
  6. Maintains COE conference attendee lists and ensures new executives attend appropriate training.
  7. Creates and maintains COE audit participation lists to provide standard chairperson and directors opportunities to serve on audit teams.
  8. Audits and ensures the consistency of academic information on the College website, advertising, and promotional materials.
  9. Works with the director of the EdEx department to verify and ensure alignment of program and course objectives with both institutional and programmatic accreditation criteria.
  10. Coordinates Occupational Advisory Committees, including organizing and scheduling annual meetings and maintaining meeting minutes and documentation for all accredited programs.
  11. Ensures the required number of Employer Verification Forms (EVFs) are gathered annually. Performs accuracy and completion audits of EVFs annually.
  12. Collaborates with faculty to manage and maintain industry contact logs.
  13. Conducts and documents annual placement and outcomes audit.
  14. Collaborates with faculty to ensure tracking and compliance with clinical externship agreements.
  15. Ensures COE-required college plans and policies are reviewed annually by the appropriate person or committee according to COE requirements.
  16. Maintains a working understanding of the college learning management system, document publishing software, and office technologies.
  17. Demonstrates outstanding verbal and written skills. Leverages communication skills to simplify and contextualize information for the public.
  18. Works efficiently and accurately on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines, completing projects and initiatives on schedule.
  19. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related relevant field or a high school diploma plus four years of increasingly progressively responsible related experience, such as project management, human resources, or paralegal experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of related experience, such as project management, human resources, or paralegal, is required, preferably in higher education.
  • Demonstrated experience with accreditation or regulatory compliance processes.
  • Requires process improvement and project management skills with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy, as well as the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service to faculty, staff, and administration.
  • Strong written and spoken communication and system implementation, training, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, learning management systems, and content management tools.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Accreditation management experience is considered a plus.
  • Prior experience managing advisory boards or industry engagement.
  • Experience conducting audits or working with student outcome data.
  • Experience with Project Management or quality improvement training.
