Purpose of Job:
The Outside Sales Representative is the primary external point of contact for customers. This position enhances customer and co-worker experiences while driving company success by fostering strong relationships, managing customer accounts, and acting as a bridge between customers and NEXT.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers by conducting daily customer interactions, including calls and face-to-face meetings.
- Educate customers on product offerings and how they provide financial and professional benefits.
- Promote and sell company products and services.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to better understand customer needs.
- Provide ongoing support to customers by addressing inquiries, assisting with orders and order entry, and offering product recommendations.
Account & Order Management
- Maintain clear and effective communication with customers to support both their immediate and long-term needs.
- Direct sourcing requests to the appropriate internal departments, including Inside Sales, Bid Specification, Project Management, and Heating.
- Review daily reports to verify pricing accuracy before order billing.
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to resolve credit issues and pricing discrepancies
Vendor & Product Coordination
- Engage with vendors to coordinate product training sessions for customers
- Source products and negotiate pricing as required

Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:
- Ability to consistently model Next’s core values and character expectations listed above
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and hydronic supplies
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build long lasting relationships
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving & prioritization skills
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Products (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Active Listening Skills
Experience & Education:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to build long-lasting relationships
Physical Demands/ Working Conditions:
- Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively
