Who You Are
You’re a steady, experienced Paramedic who knows how to keep calm under pressure and act fast when safety is on the line. Whether you're responding to a medical emergency or helping prevent one through routine care and observation, you bring a clear head, skilled hands, and a strong sense of responsibility to the job.

You understand the demands of working on industrial or construction-heavy sites—like those tied to critical water infrastructure—and you take pride in being a trusted presence for the crews you support. You value straightforward communication, consistent protocols, and being part of a team that’s building something important for the community.

Responsibilities
- Administer emergency medical care, including respiratory, trauma, and cardiac interventions, and conduct patient assessments (e.g., drug screenings).
- Perform record-keeping, filing, and data entry as required, excluding treatment-related records.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
- Provide information on medical treatments and procedures, promoting a culture of health and safety.
- Measure vital signs and collect specimens
- Document all patient interactions and care provided.
- Monitor worker health and manage preventative care on-site.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain readiness for on-site incidents.

Requirements
- Must be able to work 45-50 hours per week.
- Must be able to work 9-10 hour shifts (M-F, some weekends)
- Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs throughout the work shift.
- Ability to climb without difficulty.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in small spaces.
- Ability to talk, hear, and taste/smell while performing job duties.
- Must have a favorable driving record for the past 5 years.
- Must pass detailed Criminal Background, Motor Vehicle Record, and Drug Screen checks.
- Ability to work independently in remote or isolated locations.
- Must have strong team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of industry-specific safety procedures (construction, mining, etc.).

Skills and Experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making in high-pressure situations.
- Skilled in administering emergency care (CPR, trauma management, etc.).
- Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, local/state regulations).
- Proficient in medical record-keeping and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with workers and management.
- Physical stamina to lift, assist, and manage patients.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under stress.
- Experience as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider

Other
- Required certifications and licenses
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent
- Driver’s license
- Oregon Paramedic License

Preferred certifications and licenses
- Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent
- NREMT Paramedic License

Compensation Transparency
In accordance with Oregon’s pay transparency requirements (ORS 652.xx and HB 2746, effective early 2026), the pay range for this position is $38 - $42 per hour. This posting also discloses the benefits associated with the role:
