This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales and relationship management professional to play a strategic role within the investment and wealth management industry. In this position, you will manage and grow a high-potential territory while promoting a broad suite of investment solutions to financial advisors and portfolio managers. You will work closely with internal partners and advisor networks to strengthen engagement, expand market share, and deliver tailored investment solutions. - Manage and grow an assigned sales territory by developing strong relationships with investment advisors, portfolio managers, and distribution partners.
- Promote a range of investment solutions including mutual funds, ETFs, and separately managed accounts while identifying opportunities to increase market penetration and share of wallet.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan aligned with regional growth objectives and client engagement strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and support Business Development Managers and Associates within the territory to drive performance and collaboration.
- Conduct regular client meetings, branch presentations, group sessions, roadshows, and industry events to strengthen advisor relationships and drive sales activity.
- Build segmentation strategies to ensure high service standards and targeted client support across the territory.
- Monitor and manage co-op marketing opportunities while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and sales practices.
- Maintain strong knowledge of capital markets, investment products, and industry trends to provide strategic insights and trusted guidance to clients and partners.
- University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Industry certifications such as CFA, CIM, CFP, or FCSI are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment industry sales, wholesaling, wealth management, or asset management distribution.
- Strong understanding of the asset management and wealth management industries, including investment products and advisor distribution channels.
- Demonstrated success in business development, territory management, and relationship-driven sales environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interest and understanding of capital markets and investment strategies.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities with experience supporting or managing sales teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Competitive base salary ranging from CAD $100,000 to $125,000, with eligibility for discretionary performance-based variable compensation.
