Migration Automation Software Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Migration Automation Software Engineer based in Brazil.

In this role, you will develop reliable migration workflows, optimize ETL pipelines, and create automation tools that ensure secure, accurate, and efficient data transfers from legacy systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform performance, resolve technical challenges, and enhance the overall customer experience. This opportunity is ideal for a software engineer who enjoys solving data-intensive problems, building scalable automation, and leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high engineering standards.

Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows that streamline customer onboarding and data migration from legacy software platforms.
  • Build, optimize, and troubleshoot automation solutions using C#, .NET, PowerShell, and related technologies.
  • Develop and manage ETL processes that ensure accurate, secure, and reliable data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Leverage AI development tools to accelerate engineering workflows while maintaining ownership of software architecture, security, and code quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to identify bottlenecks and continuously improve migration performance and reliability.
  • Analyze unfamiliar third-party systems to design effective migration strategies and adapt automation processes to evolving technical requirements.
  • Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot production migration routines to ensure high availability and successful customer onboarding.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and communicate project progress, technical risks, and solutions with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2–5 years of software development experience with strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
  • Proven experience developing, debugging, and optimizing complex PowerShell scripts for automation and orchestration.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases, schema mapping, complex queries, and database scripting.
  • Experience designing or supporting ETL workflows, data migration pipelines, or enterprise software onboarding processes.
  • Solid understanding of software testing, system performance optimization, and data integrity best practices.
  • Ability to quickly understand third-party software systems and adapt technical solutions to changing business requirements.
  • Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve productivity while maintaining high standards for architecture, security, and code quality.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in a remote engineering environment.
