Hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday, w/some Saturdays 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Pay: $18.75/hr. or possibly higher DOE + Quarterly opportunities for bonus and incentive.
$1,000 Summer Hiring bonus! For any candidate with a start date in July or August. ($500 at 3 months of employment, another $500 at 6 months of employment.)
Your Purpose will be:
The person in the position of Financial Service Representative (Banker/Teller) will provide exceptional member service by identifying the needs and offering the best financial solution to each member, processing transactions, educating on loans, and resolving problems. This person will strive to increase member satisfaction and account retention by educating members on CU resources and opportunities while building valued and lasting relationships based on positive service. What you’ll do:
- Build relationships with our members through excellent service to ensure their financial needs are met – this is done by actively listening and engaging members, analyzing their needs, educating them on credit union products and solutions, while asking for their business to ensure we are helping them take on the best products for them to reach their financial goals.
- Receive and accurately process member financial transactions, including but not limited to: processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, wire transfers, and other member transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Offer solutions for members' financial needs by cross-selling products and services.
- Makes outbound calls to known members for onboarding, relationship building, and sales.
- Develop and maintain new and existing member relationships, and ensure an elevated level of member service is achieved.
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Meet sales and service goals, maintain a satisfactory Making the Difference Index (MDI.), and participate in the Step-Up Program.
- Greet members, use name and maintain a professional and courteous attitude during transaction.
- Be highly knowledgeable of all Credit Union products and services.
- Examine checks presented and determine hold requirements.
- Answer basic inquiries regarding interest rates, fees and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and privacy policies.
- Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary ensuring teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
- Refers members that have Real Estate, Commercial Loan, and Wealth Management needs.
- Follows Member Service Roadmap -- Interviews members, provides financial solutions.
- Acquires necessary documentation to support loan application.
- Provide all information and documents needed for loan decisions honestly and accurately.
- Follow (3-2-1 Contact) on-boarding member interactions with thank you notes and phone calls.
- To process deposits, payments, withdrawals, cashed checks, etc. and perform miscellaneous operation duties accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Comply with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC (funds availability), Regulation DD (TIS) and other regulations as required by law as it relates to his/her position.
- Assist with conducting consistent sales and team member meetings.
- Assist in the training, coaching, and mentoring of team members.
- Assist in the operational functions of the branch, which includes assist in vault balancing, ordering Money, conducting monthly teller audits.
- Assist in ensuring the security of the branch is maintained.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understands the Bank Secrecy Act and how it is applied.

The experience you need to succeed:
- High School diploma, G.E.D, or other equivalent.
- Previous cash handling, customer service and/or sales experience.
- Must be self driven with effective communication skills.
- 6+ months experience in building customer relationships and offering sales and solutions to benefit the customer, preferred.
- Proficient with standard office business machinery and software.
- Working knowledge to Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Works primarily in a branch office environment with occasional trips to field environment locations. This includes but is not limited to various outdoor and indoor climates, public venues, and driving conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly need to: see, talk, hear, and perform repetitive movements with arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, grasp and reach. A computer, phone -possibly including a smart phone, and standard office equipment are normal tools for this position. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The employee may at times also need to: climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
