JOB TITLE: Personnel Supervisor
SUMMARY: Plans and carries out policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES will be based on but not limited to:
- Recruiting, interviewing and hiring employees to fill vacant positions.
- Prepare weekly staffing numbers to ensure the staffing goals are met.
- Plan and conduct new hire orientation and training.
- Maintain records of insurance coverage and personnel transactions such as promotion, transfers, performance reviews and terminations.
- Keep records of disciplining and rewarding associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Compliance with employment regulations including FMLA, FLSA, ADA and EEO.
- Prepares separation notices and related documentation for conducting exit interviews.
- Manage employee attendance program and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
- Keep records of hired associate characteristics for governmental reporting purposes.
- Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carriers.
- Process unemployment claims.
- Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
- Periodically reviews handbook policies and procedures.
- Represent company at community and service functions.
- Plan and implement programs to address staffing, regulatory, training and associate’s needs.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to effectively present information to management.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or five to seven years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must have previous experience & a working knowledge of IQMS, ADP or similar HR software applications & record keeping programs & be proficient with Microsoft Office skills as well. Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from associates, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
