Job Description

Summary:

The Outside Sales Manager Modular is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities and expanding strategic relationships within Mission Critical Group's Modular Power Generation Enclosure business. This role serves as a trusted advisor to customers by identifying their power infrastructure needs and delivering innovative modular solutions that support mission-critical facilities across data centers, industrial, utility, healthcare, and other critical industries.

The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with experience selling engineered or technical Power Gen solutions, a passion for building customer relationships, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally from opportunity development through project execution.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within target markets, including data centers, utilities, industrial manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, and other mission-critical industries.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with end users, engineering firms, Engine manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Conduct customer meetings to understand project requirements and recommend Modular solutions that meet technical and commercial objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, project management, operations, and inside sales teams to develop winning customer solutions.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately forecast opportunities using the company's CRM system.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and project scope while maintaining company profitability goals.
  • Support project handoff to operations and remain engaged throughout execution to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, competitive activity, and market conditions.
  • Represent Mission Critical Group at industry conferences, customer events, networking opportunities, and trade shows.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers, partners, and project stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience selling engineered products, industrial equipment, electrical infrastructure, modular construction, power generation, or related technical solutions.
  • Proven success developing new business and growing strategic customer accounts.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling methodologies.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar systems.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30-50% within the assigned territory.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
