This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of day-to-day financial operations within a high-trust, fast-moving professional services environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all core accounting processes, acting as the primary point of contact for bookkeeping activities. Working closely with senior leadership, you will manage invoicing, payroll, and reconciliations while continuously improving financial workflows. The position requires both precision and autonomy, with a strong emphasis on accountability and proactive problem-solving. You will also support external accounting partners by maintaining clean, well-structured financial records. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys owning outcomes and contributing to operational excellence in a flexible, remote setup.
Accountabilities:- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping operations, including invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and vendor payments.
- Oversee payroll and commission processing on a bi-monthly basis using modern payroll systems.
- Perform monthly financial reconciliations and prepare accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all transactions.
- Handle expense management workflows and support financial tracking using digital tools such as DEXT.
- Support the preparation of estimates and progressive invoicing while ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Collaborate with external CPA partners by providing organized, audit-ready financial data for tax preparation.
- Continuously improve bookkeeping processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality.
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or full-charge accounting experience, including payroll responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online Advanced and familiarity with modern financial tools such as DEXT and Gusto.
- Proven experience managing accounts receivable and handling collections professionally with enterprise or large clients.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and structured financial processes.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and client-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of financial operations and ensure consistent follow-through.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting standards.
- Part-time schedule (25 hours per week) with consistent workload and flexibility
- Fully remote role with preference for U.S. Eastern Time Zone alignment
