Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist (PT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care for an assigned patient population. This role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy services in coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team. The PT focuses on restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing overall patient outcomes and experience across the continuum of care.
Responsibilities:
Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within scope of practice and professional standards
Assess patient functional status and contribute to development of individualized care plans
Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions using appropriate techniques and modalities
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure optimal treatment outcomes
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, exercises, and equipment use
Support patient progression toward goals and adjust care plans as needed
Prioritize caseload and coordinate daily assignments and patient handoffs
Requirements:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Florida REQUIRED
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy required
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team
Schedule:
Full-time
Days (No Weekends)

558-bed acute care hospital
