Job Description
As a Sanitation Technician II, you will be responsible for independently performing routine and complex sanitation tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our production environment. In this role, you will follow established procedures, mentor junior team members, and help maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will support efficient and hygienic operations.
This is a full-time, 2nd shift position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm.
Responsibilities
Sanitation Execution
- Independently execute sanitation protocols for production equipment, machinery, and facility areas
- Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment in accordance with SOPs
- Accurately mix and use sanitation chemicals according to safety and usage guidelines
Monitoring & Compliance
- Conduct routine inspections and identify sanitation issues or maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate cleaning logs, checklists, and sanitation documentation
- Escalate equipment malfunctions or deviations from cleaning standards
- Support compliance with all regulatory standards including GMP, FDA, and OSHA
Team Support & Communication
- Assist with training and onboarding of Sanitation Technician I team members
- Provide input to improve sanitation procedures and workflows
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, required
- 1-2 years of sanitation experience in a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and equipment handling
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct sanitation deficiencies
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communicator and team collaborator
- Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Physically able to work in wet or humid environments and around cleaning chemicals
