This is a senior regional leadership role responsible for shaping and executing quality strategy across Latin America within a highly regulated, multi-site environment. You will oversee quality systems, compliance performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, laboratory, and distribution operations. The position plays a critical role in ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across diverse LATAM markets. Accountabilities:

  • Act as the primary regional authority for quality risks, major quality events, and regulatory interactions, escalating systemic issues when necessary.
  • Oversee Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all sites, ensuring compliance with internal policies, ISO standards, GMPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Drive regional audit readiness and manage responses to internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
  • Lead investigations of quality incidents, non-conformances, recalls, and customer complaints, coordinating corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure supplier quality performance through risk assessment, monitoring, and collaboration with global supply chain and supplier quality teams.
  • Deploy global quality initiatives across LATAM while ensuring local adaptation and feedback into global quality strategy.
  • Promote continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and develop regional quality teams, fostering talent development, succession planning, and strong engagement.
  • Serve as escalation point and approver for new product introductions, technology transfers, and major process changes impacting the region.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Life Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or manufacturing within regulated industries.
  • At least 5+ years of leadership or people management experience in a multi-site or regional context.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, audit processes, and regulatory frameworks including ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and GMP standards.
  • Experience working in highly regulated LATAM environments and interacting with agencies such as ANVISA, MAPA, COFEPRIS, SENASA, or equivalent authorities.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in complex, matrixed, multi-country organizations.
  • Strong background in cross-functional collaboration with operations, supply chain, R&D, and regulatory teams.
  • Experience in industries such as animal health, diagnostics, food safety, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma or ASQ certification is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is required to operate effectively across the region.
Benefits:
  • Senior regional leadership role with high strategic impact across Latin America
  • Opportunity to influence global quality strategy within a leading regulated industry organization
  • Exposure to multi-country operations, complex regulatory environments, and global stakeholders
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence
  • Leadership development opportunities, including succession planning and talent growth responsibilities
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package (details shared during recruitment process)
  • Remote flexibility depending on operational and regional needs
