The Eligibility Manager will lead a team responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in eligibility review processes supporting public sector programs. This role combines people leadership, regulatory expertise, quality assurance, and data-driven decision-making to improve program outcomes. The position requires close collaboration with clients, internal teams, and government stakeholders to ensure policies and procedures are followed effectively. The Eligibility Manager will oversee eligibility review operations, manage team performance, and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal requirements. This role is responsible for guiding team members, maintaining quality standards, supporting client relationships, and driving improvements in operational processes.
- Lead and manage a team responsible for reviewing and analyzing Title IV-E cases for compliance with state and federal policies and procedures.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, training, feedback, and performance management for team members.
- Oversee team activities, outcomes, and service delivery to ensure contractual and organizational commitments are achieved.
- Monitor performance metrics and use data insights to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to respond to management requests using tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance processes for activities, data, reports, and deliverables.
- Ensure team compliance with federal and state regulations, policies, and program requirements.
- Lead client meetings, trainings, and discussions in various professional settings.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to encourage knowledge sharing and operational alignment.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal and state laws, policies, and procedures, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Support and participate in state and federal audits and program reviews.
- Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures and training materials.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement that enhance compliance, quality, and team effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader with strong knowledge of eligibility programs, regulatory compliance, and team management. They should be comfortable analyzing complex information, communicating with stakeholders, and improving processes in a mission-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, including experience supervising staff.
- Familiarity with federal entitlement programs and related compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.
- Experience leading teams, delegating responsibilities, and managing performance.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in professional and client-facing environments.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and ownership of responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Competitive salary range of $72,100 - $99,000, based on role requirements, experience, skills, and location.
